Partbook of William Farren for the role of Malvolio in Twelfth night [manuscript], 1820 November 8.

The name "Mr W Farren," written on the front cover (probably not in his autograph) may be assumed to mean that the part was originally played by William Farren, who first appeared in London in 1818. Farren is listed as Malvolio on Covent Garden playbills for Nov. 8-9, 1820. The part is considerably cut.
